Sanitation and Cleanliness Measures at Mia Aesthetics

At Mia Aesthetics, thorough sanitation and maintaining a clean environment are top priorities each and every day. With the recent health pandemic that is sweeping the nation, we want to assure our patients that we have gone above and beyond our already strict measures to ensure a safe working environment.

Below is a list of sanitation and cleanliness measures being implemented at Mia Aesthetics:

Multiple Cleanings a Day
Our cleaning staff has been cleaning and disinfecting all parts of the clinic multiple times a day. We use a medical grade cleaner that kills bacteria instantly and effectively. In addition to our regular cleanings, we are paying special attention to frequently touched objects and areas. These include:
• Door knobs
• Counter tops at patient check-in areas
• Stair rails
• Patient seating areas
• Exam chairs

Our operating rooms are given even closer attention. Between surgical procedures and after patient are moved from the OR, housekeeping disinfects the room wearing clean gloves and using a clean microfiber cloth with the EPA-registered disinfectant. They will use these to clean all the furniture, surgical lights and equipment in the room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.

Multiple Hand Sanitizer Dispensers
We know hand washing is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. While our bathrooms are always stocked up with hand soap, we have also implemented an abundance of hand sanitizing stations throughout our clinic. Don’t worry – we have plenty of refill sanitizer on deck in case we run out!

Masks and Gloves Always
Everyone on our medical team, including surgeons, assistants, anesthesiologists and nurses, are equipped with gloves and masks to ensure the most sterile surgical process possible. Our staff is thoroughly trained on the most effective ways to use their masks and gloves to ensure a clean working environment.

Social Distancing
As recommended by the CDC, we are also implementing social distancing where possible. We recommend patients in our waiting areas to sit at least six feet away from each other. Additionally, all of our staff is practicing social distancing with staff and patients as an added safety measure.

Screening Patients
Every patient entering our clinic has been screened for the safety of everyone at Mia Aesthetics. We have made sure to ask patients if they have recently displayed any cold symptoms, have exhibited a fever, or have traveled within or outside the country recently. Doing so allows us to ensure those entering our doors are healthy.

Only Allowing in Patients
Lastly, as of late, we have been asking patients to enter our clinic alone. Families and friends are asked to wait outside for the time being. While we know it is important to have the support of close family members and friends during plastic surgery, by limiting the number of people that enter and leave our clinic, we are creating a safer environment for our community.

The health and safety of our patients, surgeons, and staff is always our top priority. By working together and practicing the listed safety precautions, we will get through this time of uncertainty with our health, happiness and peace of mind in tact. Let’s stay healthy!
