Before Booking Your Surgery

Is the Booking Fee Refundable?

The Booking Fee is non-refundable and cannot be refunded once paid

Yes, we want to ensure your safety and optimal outcomes. If you have any of these medical conditions, it may indicate that office-based surgery with Mia Aesthetics isn’t suitable for you. However, please keep in mind that this list doesn’t cover every possibility, and there could be other medical conditions or circumstances that might impact your eligibility for surgery with us. To guarantee that we provide you with the best care possible, it’s essential that you share your complete medical history, including any past and present medical conditions with us openly prior to booking your surgery. Your well-being is our top priority, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Yes. If you are determined to be a candidate for surgery within 60 days of booking your surgery, then you will be required to adhere to the expedited process of:

  • completing your Patient Medical Questionnaire within 24 hours of paying the Booking Fee
  • submitting your completed lab results and medical clearance forms within 72 hours of paying the Booking Fee

However, please note that each patient’s case is unique and additional medical clearance documentation may be required. To best assist you in getting you through the clearance process, it is imperative that you openly disclose your complete medical history, including any past and present medical conditions prior to booking your surgery.

Please make sure that if you are traveling, you have made all necessary travel arrangements.

Upon payment of the Booking Fee, you have 12 months from the date of payment of the Booking Fee to schedule and undergo surgery, unless a contract extension (if eligible) is requested and paid prior to the 12-month contract expiration date. If your surgery does not take place by the contract expiration date, then a new Booking Fee will be required.

No. Mia Aesthetics does not accept insurance of any kind as payment for your surgical procedure.

After Booking Your Surgery

Are there any medications or other substances that I cannot take 30 days before surgery?

To avoid getting cancelled, please make sure that you consult the Medication to Avoid list and stop all use of any medications and substances as directed therein. If you do not see your medication listed and you are not sure whether you should continue to take the medication, please call Mia Aesthetics.

If you are prescribed medication that is not listed on the Medication to Avoid list, then please contact your Medical Provider (such as your Primary Care Physician) to determine if the medication should be taken up to and including the day of surgery or if the medication should not be taken prior to surgery.

Please ensure that you notify Mia Aesthetics of any directive given to you by your Medical Provider.

Should you need further guidance or have medication-specific questions, please call Mia Aesthetics.

Yes. Mia Aesthetics requires that certain labs be completed, and that a Medical Clearance form be completed by your Primary Care Provider. In addition, you may be required to complete additional Labs and specialist clearances based on your medical history, lab results, and medical clearance provided by your Medical Provider. All required Lab Work orders and Medical Clearance forms can be found in your Patient Portal.

Once you have been notified by Mia Aesthetics that you have been cleared for surgery, Mia Aesthetics will contact you to book your pre-operative appointment. At your pre-operative appointment, you will book your post-operative appointments and any post-surgical massages you may have purchased.

Please consult the Terms & Conditions for any changes to your Invoice. Please note that fees may apply based on changes made, as set forth in the Terms & Conditions.

If you have already paid a Booking Fee, then you are not eligible to take advantage of any subsequent promotional offer (i.e., you cannot rebook to get a promotional pricing).

10 days before your surgery date.

You should upload your lab results and medical clearance forms in PDF format (no pictures or screenshots) to your Patient Portal. Utilizing your Patient Portal is the easiest and best way to send over your medical clearance documentation. Alternatively, if you are experiencing an issue with the Patient Portal, then you can Fax over your lab results and medical clearance forms to 786-718-1136.

Yes. Upon payment of your Booking Fee, you will receive an email with a link to create a password for your Patient Portal. The Patient Portal is where you can access your Patient Medical Questionnaire, lab orders and medical clearance forms and view all your appointments. The Patient Portal is also where you should upload your lab results and completed medical clearance forms to Mia for review, submit a medical records request, seek a contract extension (if eligible), find answers to your FAQ, and more. Please make sure to timely sign up for your Patient Portal and to familiarize yourself with the Patient Portal.

Please allow up to 72 business hours to receive a response from Mia Aesthetics.

Yes. The deadline to submit your lab results and medical clearance documentation will be stated in your Patient Portal.

Getting Ready for Surgery

Are there any tests I need to complete on my day of surgery?

Yes. Please note that Mia Aesthetics conducts a pregnancy test and drug test as a final step before proceeding with surgery.

You must remain within 20 miles of the surgery location for a minimum of five (5) days after surgery to receive post-operative care.

The timeframe of post-operative massages vary depending on a variety of factors, including the Patient’s physical condition post-surgery and Patient’s pain threshold. Typically, post-surgical massages vary between 5 minutes and 20 minutes.
