Making Baltimore Plastic Surgery Affordable

People often ask us how Mia Aesthetics can offer quality cosmetic surgery in Baltimore and at our other locations for so much less than our competitors. The answer is this: we were founded on the very idea of making cosmetic procedures affordable for those who want them. It all started when our CEO noticed a large number of patients engaging in medical tourism: the practice of having plastic surgery and other surgical procedures performed outside the United States in order to get them done for less money. Unfortunately, the standards of medical care in some other countries aren’t as high as they are here, and not every patient was receiving safe, high-quality care. He resolved to help solve this growing problem.

He talked the situation over with his brother, our COO, who has an extensive education in business and accounting. Together, the two devised a business plan that allows surgeons to focus on surgery alone while a highly trained and skilled support staff handles sales, financing, and pre-surgical management. As a result, our surgeons can focus solely on providing surgical care without costly distractions.

Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) Surgery for Patients in Baltimore and All of Maryland

We just told you about how our unique business model helps us make cosmetic surgery affordable without compromising the quality of care our patients receive. In fact, our system works so well that we sometimes offer Baltimore BBL specials. If your buttocks aren’t as full or round as you would like them to be, a BBL allows you to fill in the gaps safely with your own body fat. The result is a shapely behind with no visible scars since your own fat is reinjected with a syringe and no incision is necessary. You may see some minimal scarring at your fat donor sites due to the liposuction process used to harvest the fat, but these scars typically fade within 6 months and are often almost impossible to detect after that.

A BBL in Baltimore can yield truly remarkable results and for much less than you would expect. While most doctors charge $5,000 or more for a Brazilian butt lift in Maryland, the procedure starts at a significantly lower $3,750 at Mia Aesthetics. And with proper care after surgery, your Baltimore BBL could last 10 years or more. That means you can have the firm and shapely behind of your dreams for an average cost of $375 a year. We think that’s a pretty good return on your investment.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Surgery in Baltimore, MD

There is nothing wrong with fully embracing the natural aging process — but there certainly isn’t anything wrong with fighting it kicking and screaming either! At Mia Aesthetics, we fully support both approaches. If the effects of gravity, pregnancy, extreme weight loss, or menopause have left you with a sagging stomach you just can’t flatten, a tummy tuck, technically referred to as an abdominoplasty, may help you find your way to a flatter, more toned appearance.

Full Versus Mini

If you opt for a tummy tuck in Baltimore, you’ll need to choose between a full or a mini tummy tuck. A full tummy tuck involves removing excess abdominal skin and fat and repairing the abdominal muscles if and as needed. In many cases, liposuction is also performed on the flanks to help achieve the desired contour. The remaining skin is then pulled over the abdomen and the incision closed. Note that this incision is made quite low on the abdomen so that any scarring is easy to hide in a bikini bottom.

Some women only need to have a mini tummy tuck. A tummy tuck also utilizes a low incision, but the cut is smaller than that of a full tummy tuck. This allows for less extensive abdominal repair, so a mini tummy tuck is only an option if your problem area lies completely below your navel. Don’t let the word “mini” fool you into thinking this procedure isn’t a serious one, though. You’ll still need to plan on at least a week of recovery time, during which you won’t be allowed to lift many objects or do anything too strenuous.

Liposuction and Lipo 360 in Baltimore

If you’re looking for liposuction in Baltimore, there are a few things you should know. The first is that liposuction is not a weight loss treatment. Depending on how much fat your doctor removes, you may notice a slight change in your weight. Liposuction removes stubborn fat deposits that diet and exercise alone struggle to reduce, but weight loss is never the intended goal.

You should also note that liposuction isn’t limited to your core. It is common to have liposuction done in your abdomen, flanks, hips, and lower back. The procedure is so common in these areas that Baltimore doctors often perform a Lipo 360, which hits all of these areas during one surgery, trimming down your entire midsection all the way around. But these aren’t your only options. Liposuction can also help remove unwanted fat from your upper arms, calves, ankles, chest, back, chin, and neck. So long as your doctor deems it safe, you can often have liposuction performed on multiple parts of your body during the same surgery.

Liposuction Vs. A Tummy Tuck

Patients who are unhappy with their midsection often wonder whether their best option is liposuction or a tummy tuck. The answer depends on the issue you want to resolve. Liposuction can remove stubborn fat to create a smoother, more contoured and sculpted appearance. But there are some issues it can’t fix. Only a tummy tuck can remove excess sagging skin or repair an abdominal wall separated by pregnancy. To understand the difference, think of your body as a building. A tummy tuck can build walls and support structures. Liposuction is more like a painter or an interior decorator. It can beautify what is there, but it can’t tackle structural issues.

Mommy Makeover in Maryland – Post-Pregnancy Cosmetic Surgery

The mommy makeover is another procedure that sometimes invites confusion. Some of this stems from what the procedure actually is, since it means different things to different women. Starting at $7,700, our mommy makeovers in Baltimore typically include a tummy tuck as well as a breast lift or breast augmentation. Your surgeon can tailor your surgery to you, however, and can address changes to your hips, back, and any other areas of your body that you feel need attention.

And to answer another common question: no, you don’t have to be a mommy to get a mommy makeover. We can put together a surgery package for you that addresses multiple problem areas even if you’ve never had children.

We also get a lot of questions about when you should have a mommy makeover. First, note that you should wait until at least 6 months after giving birth. We know you’re anxious to get your pre-pregnancy body back, but we don’t know what issues truly need to be addressed until your body has had adequate time to work its own natural healing magic.

We also recommend waiting to have your Maryland mommy makeover until you’re finished having children. Safety is, happily, not a concern. If you do get pregnant after a mommy makeover, there is no danger to your health or the health of your growing baby. Your odds of a healthy pregnancy are exactly the same as they were before your cosmetic procedure. Your changing body can and likely will alter your mommy makeover results, however. You may need to revisit your surgeon for additional corrections if you have another baby after your makeover.
