Affordable Plastic Surgery in Houston
Mia Aesthetics is thrilled to bring yet another location to America’s fourth-largest city, Houston, Texas. Filled with a wonderful mix of booming businesses, professional sports, world-class arts, and award-winning cuisine, Mia is excited to continue expanding, allowing more patients throughout the U.S. to achieve the body they’ve always dreamed of. As we continue with our long-term expansion plan, our mission remains the same: the idea that being beautiful and saving money are two realities that can exist simultaneously. Along with our number of clinics growing, our number of renowned plastic surgeons and top-tier staff also continue to grow to provide our patients with the ultimate plastic surgery experience.
State of the Art Facilities
Our Houston clinic stays in line with our other sleek and sophisticated clinics, providing the patients with the utmost surgical experience. Houston’s clinic is equipped with the most advanced medical technology while following CDC safety and health guidelines to ensure our patients have a positive, safe, and comfortable surgical journey. Mia’s plastic surgeons work together with our highly trained medical staff of anesthesiologists, medical assistants, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure you are in good hands and are satisfied with your surgical results.
The area where Mia Aesthetics lacks is customer service. Getting through to someone on the phone and scheduling appointments or getting post op questions answered has proven to be difficult. Beyond my initial consultation I found it difficult to get a response, even leading up to surgery. My "concierge" was quick to schedule my surgery and then after that it took days and even weeks to get her to respond. There seems to be a disconnect between scheduling and the office. Mia lacks the more personal relationship one might desire with their surgeon and trades that with a more fast food feel to keep costs down.
If you are ok without the specific attention while still getting great results then I absolutely say go with Mia Aesthetics! They have great prices and do beautiful work!
The short of my original review was a complaint that the current policies and procedures at the Houston location was lacking and not at all like the traditional outpatient surgery experience that many people are familiar with at hospitals and several other surgery centers. Spouses/family/friends; whoever the patient wants to participate in their healthcare.....those people are left out of the loop, not allowed to be part of the MD to patient discussion/plan (be present with the patient and doctor), you cannot sit with the patient before they go back to the operating room, you are not allowed to wait in their office waiting area's (pre-op and post- op side), you are not allowed to be present to receive information about how the procedure went and discharge instructions from the actual doctor. Essentially, I felt unwelcome there unless I was the actual patient. As a healthcare professional (and because nobody else wants the job), I handle healthcare for family, manage prescriptions, am present at MD appointments and am the go to person for my spouse and children in making many of our healthcare decisions...yet I'm left out in this case. It's not a blow to my ego (real or imagined) as it's detracting from the patient having the best possible experience and outcomes by having that family involvement and support.
In healthcare, the patient is top priority, safety above all. Beyond that is patient satisfaction. Number two now, for years, has also been "how to please the family members". This is with traditional healthcare though (think hospitals). Plastic surgery (elective/reconstructive) isn't traditional healthcare, so perhaps it's not treated the same way; it may not be so geared towards patient and family satisfaction.
In the end, my wife (as far as I know) was cared for in a safe manner and came through her procedure fine. The staff was also friendly (was asked nicely to leave and they were apologetic). Was I or other family members satisfied? No, I wasn't (hopefully my wife will be). Did Mia Aesthetics make it right? Well, management did address our concerns regarding the deviation from the traditional outpatient surgery experience. They did (or are going to) look into policy changes so that not only the patient, but the family member is satisfied with the entire experience. We shall see; we are not done there yet.
PS: Mia, please be a little more liberal with immediate post op pain medications to treat acute surgical pain (probably an Anesthesiologist issue as their order sets usually take over in the post operative area). It hurts, these people are not seeking drugs (or whatever reason only toradol was administered). The PACU nurse made it clear that day one was all about pain control. Pain control begins before the patient is discharged, then continues at home. If you know that your patient will feel every bump in the road on a one hour trip home, a norco or tylenol 3 on board will greatly improve your patient's quality of life (and patient satisfaction).
My wife is feeling much better today, by the way (first day after bbl procedure).
Plastic Surgeons in Houston
Meet Our Team of Top-Tier Surgeons
Affordable Plastic Surgery in Houston
Located in the prestigious River Oaks neighborhood of Houston, it would seem natural to assume that Mia Aesthetics would be an expensive option for cosmetic surgery. Nothing could be further from the truth. We founded our clinic on the belief that those who want cosmetic surgery in Houston or anywhere else should be able to access it both affordably and safely.
We achieve that goal by hiring a top-notch support staff who take care of the things that sometimes draw the time, attention, and focus of doctors in other clinics. In this way, we allow our surgeons to concentrate on surgery and medical care alone so we can have a more efficient and cost-effective clinic.
Houston BBLs Done Right
Some ladies like to shake what their momma gave them, but not all mommas are equally generous. If your buttocks aren’t as full as you would like them to be and you want a natural solution, a Brazilian butt lift could be your answer. Unlike butt implants, a BBL in Houston uses fat from other parts of your body to plump and shape your rear end. This means you won’t have anything artificial in your body after the procedure, so your buttocks will look and feel as natural as they’ll be.
Liposuction and Lipo 360 in Houston
Houston liposuction is an absolute miracle for those fighting stubborn fat that just refuses to leave. If dieting and hitting the gym just aren’t getting the job done, you may need a little help from a surgical friend. Whether your extra fat cells are hanging around your chin, neck, arms, back, hips, abdomen, thighs, calves, buttocks, or face, Mia Aesthetics can help you get rid of them and create a more sculpted look wherever you want it.
Patients who want to target their midsection may opt for a lipo 360 in Houston. A lip 360 combines liposuction of the tummy, hips, thighs, back, and flanks. By combining these procedures as needed, you’ll end up with a more sculpted midsection that looks great from any angle.
Whether you opt for liposuction or lipo 360, understand that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. Liposuction removes a small amount of fat but generally removes a negligible amount weight-wise. The absolute maximum that can be removed is only about 5,000 milliliters, which equates to around 11 pounds. This is the max, however, and far more than is removed during a typical procedure. Liposuction isn’t a tummy tuck, either, so it’s important to understand the difference between liposuction vs. a tummy tuck. Liposuction can do some sculpting and fine tuning, but you’ll need a tummy tuck to remove excess skin.
Affordable Mommy Makeovers in Houston
Because they combine multiple procedures, including a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation or breast lift, mommy makeovers can be quite costly. But at Mia Aesthetics, mommy makeovers start at just $7,700 — well below the average of $10,000. The exact cost of your Houston mommy makeover will largely depend on you, however.
This is because a mommy makeover is a very personal suite of procedures. Yours can include as many procedures as you feel you need to get your body back in shape. If it’s safe to do so, your surgeon will perform all of your chosen surgeries on the same day. If not, he will work with you to safely space out your visits.
Planning Your Houston Mommy Makeover
The idea of getting your old body back after having a baby is exciting and enticing. It’s not to be rushed, however. As ready as you are, your body might not be. It’s best to wait at least 6 months after giving birth to consider a mommy makeover. It’s also advisable to wait until you are finished having children to schedule your mommy makeover trip to Houston. You’re perfectly safe to get pregnant after a mommy makeover, but getting pregnant again means your body will change again. The results of your makeover won’t be the same after a post-makeover pregnancy.
