Dr. Filstein is a highly skilled plastic surgeon who has spent over 30 years transforming the lives of thousands of patients with his expertise and dedication.
Dr. Filstein earned his B.A. in physiology with top honors from the University of California at Berkeley before attending the esteemed University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco. Graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Filstein embarked on his surgical training journey on the East Coast.
His training included General Surgery at the renowned Montefiore – Einstein Combined Program in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Filstein further specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through his training at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Going above and beyond, he completed two additional fellowships: one in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the University of Massachusetts and another in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at EVGSM in Norfolk, Virginia.
Dr. Mark Filstein actively engages in humanitarian work during his free time, particularly through his involvement with Operation Smile. For over two decades, he has generously traveled to various countries, providing over 600 life-changing cleft lip and palate surgeries to children in need. In addition, has also collaborated with charitable organizations in Vietnam, China, and Myanmar, further amplifying his impact.
Dr. Filstein is dedicated to prioritizing the well-being and satisfaction of his patients. He acknowledges the complexities of cosmetic surgery choices and creates a supportive and informative environment to address patient concerns.
