With extensive training and experience in both general and cosmetic surgery, Dr. Penukonda brings a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to patient care. Most recently, he completed a prestigious Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at Alluring Plastic Surgery in Miami under the guidance of renowned surgeon Dr. Victoria Karlinsky-Bellini, where he honed his expertise in aesthetic procedures and patient-centered outcomes.
Dr. Penukonda’s path to cosmetic surgery has been marked by academic excellence and hands-on surgical training. He completed his general surgery residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway and SUNY Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. He earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua School of Medicine, complemented by a Graduate Certificate Program from Florida Internation University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. With additional research experience in oncology and pathology at Emory University, Dr. Penukonda brings a scientific and evidence-based perspective to every procedure he performs.
Dr. Penukonda is also a proud member of leading medical societies including the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery amongst others.
