Mia Aesthetics is overjoyed to have Board-Certified plastic surgeon joining our team in Baltimore, Dr. Jeff Horowitz. Dr. Horowitz completed medical school at Albany Medical College and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After completing his general surgery residency, he attended Georgia Regents University, completing his plastic surgery residency. Dr. Horowitz also completed an Aesthetic surgery fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he was able to work with some of the most renowned plastic surgeons in the country.
Dr. Horowitz chose to complete five years of general surgery residency to be better prepared for any complications that may arise during surgery and post-op. He feels this has made him a more mature plastic surgeon. During his fellowship, he performed surgeries under the supervision of prominent Manhattan plastic surgeons and learned the latest techniques, including a unique method for cinching in the waistline during Tummy Tuck surgery. He is renowned for using this technique along with aggressive liposuction to achieve a “snatched” waist. Coming from a family of surgeons, Dr. Horowitz always knew he wanted to be a plastic surgeon and was inspired by his uncle, who was one of the pioneers of cosmetic surgery. And as a creative person, he loves that plastic surgery allows him to apply his two major influences, medicine and art.
While Dr. Horowitz has years of experience performing all plastic surgery procedures, from facelifts to body contouring, he particularly enjoys the complexity of performing breast surgery and the creativity required to perform the Brazilian Butt Lift. Future patients can expect Dr. Horowitz to give them his full and is careful to incorporate the patients’ ultimate goals into the treatment plan. And to be on the same page with his patients, he likes to ask himself if he can meet each patient’s expectations before proceeding with surgery. His patients know him for being patient, honest, down-to-earth, and an excellent listener. You can find Dr. Horowitz relaxing, exercising, and golfing in his downtime. He also has a big passion for art and painting and enjoys reading historical fiction books. With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Horowitz is excited to bring his skillset to Mia Aesthetics.
