Dr. Matthesen’s medical training is as impressive as it is extensive. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley, earned her medical degree from the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine, and completed her surgical internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She went on to train in General Surgery at the University of Michigan, serving as Chief Resident, and later pursued advanced clinical and academic work at Stanford University. Her early career also includes significant research experience and national publications, reflecting her strong scientific foundation.
Driven by a passion for aesthetic medicine, Dr. Matthesen completed a highly respected fellowship in cosmetic surgery of the face and body, refining her skills in body contouring, breast procedures, and facial rejuvenation. She has since served as Medical Director and practice owner, caring for thousands of patients and earning a reputation for precision, safety, and natural-looking results. She is triple board-certified in General Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, and Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
