Mia Aesthetics is thrilled to welcome Dr. Maria Patino to its team of acclaimed surgeons!

Dr. Patino was born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela, where she completed her medical training, obtaining degrees in medicine, general surgery, and plastic surgery. She has always been passionate about academia and worked as a faculty at her home plastic surgery residency program and has been involved in academic activities for residents until actual date. Moreover, she has been invited as a conference speaker by The Venezuelan plastic surgery society annual meetings.

Dr. Maria Patino is an established and highly skilled physician with exceptional years of experience as a surgeon. She is a fully licensed Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Surgeon with over 15 years of specialized training completed between Venezuela and the United States. Dr. Patino decided to move to the U.S due to humanitarian crisis in her country and with perseverance and dedication, she was admitted into fellowship programs in acute burn surgery, burn reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, and Microsurgery at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, demonstrating her skills and excellence as a surgeon. Her extensive training and academic experience allowed her to be recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the Texas Medical Association, and also obtaining a full medical license by the Texas Medical board.

Dr. Patino is experienced in cosmetic surgery, body contouring procedures including liposuction, Brazilian butt lifts, abdominoplasties, brachioplasties and facial cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Patino is passionate about living a healthy, active lifestyle. Her hobbies include outdoor activities like hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, cycling and working out at the gym as well. Without mentioning her participation as Gold and Silver medalist of the Venezuelan National Swim Team from 1989-1997, showing her leadership, competitive drive and team spirit. Dr. Patino has made Houston, TX, her hometown for the last seven years and she is a proud Astro’s fan and enjoys going with her husband to the Minute Maid stadium games.
